Job Summary
The Business Development Team Lead is responsible for driving business growth for Noor Health by leading, coordinating, and supervising the Business Development Executives to achieve sales targets and expand the organization’s market presence within the Health Maintenance Organization (HMO) sector.
The role involves developing sales strategies, managing key client relationships, monitoring team performance, and supporting management in executing growth initiatives across assigned markets.
Responsibilities
Business Development & Sales Execution:
- Develop and implement business development strategies to drive enrolment growth across corporate, SME, and retail segments.
- Identify, evaluate, and pursue new market opportunities, partnerships, and distribution channels.
- Oversee the preparation and presentation of proposals, bids, tenders, and customized HMO plans.
- Ensure achievement of revenue targets, enrolment targets, and market penetration objectives.
- Track pipeline activities and ensure effective conversion of leads to enrolled clients.
Client Engagement & Relationship Management:
- Build, manage, and sustain strong relationships with key corporate clients, brokers, and strategic partners.
- Oversee client onboarding, implementation, and account activation processes to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Handle escalated client issues and complaints, ensuring timely resolution and service recovery.
- Drive client retention through proactive engagement, renewals management, and value added initiatives.
Market Research & Reporting:
- Conduct continuous market research, competitor analysis, and industry trend monitoring to support strategic positioning.
- Monitor regulatory developments and ensure business activities align with NHIA guidelines and internal policies.
- Prepare and submit accurate weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports on team performance, revenue, enrolments, and market insights.
- Provide data-driven recommendations to management to support decision-making and business planning.
Team Leadership, Collaboration & Support:
- Work closely with Operations, Provider Relations, Customer Experience, Underwriting, Finance, and IT teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Provide effective leadership, supervision, and direction to Business Development Executives to ensure high performance and accountability.
- Foster a collaborative, ethical, and result-driven team culture.
- Collaborate with the Brand and Marketing team to design and execute sales campaigns, activations, and promotional initiatives.
- Support the Head of Business Development in managing strategic projects, partnerships, and high-value accounts.
Data Protection & Confidentiality
- Uphold the highest standards of confidentiality in handling company-related
information, ensuring compliance with data protection laws and internal policies. - Adhere to the company’s information security guidelines, including proper storage, transmission, and disposal of sensitive materials.
- Promptly report any suspected data breaches or unauthorized access to the
appropriate company authority. - Participate in periodic data protection training to stay informed about evolving
security risks and best practices.
General Assignment
- Execute any other duties and tasks that may be designated or assigned by the
Company. - Participate in the knowledge sharing programme of the department and the
company. - To provide supports to your Team Lead/ Branch Manager as may be required
towards serving the Board, Management and staff.
Qualification
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related fields.
Experience
- Minimum of 5–7 years cognate experience in business development,
sales, or marketing, preferably within the healthcare or HMO sector. - Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales and enrolment targets.
Skills and Competencies
- Strong leadership, people management, and coaching skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
- Sound understanding of HMO operations, healthcare products, and NHIA regulatory requirements.
- Strong analytical, reporting, and problem solving skills.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and CRM systems.
- Highly organized, self-motivated, ethical, and results-oriented.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
KPIs and Performance Metrics
- Team Revenue Performance: Achievement of team revenue targets against set benchmarks.
- Client Retention & Renewal Rate: Percentage of retained and renewed client accounts.
- Market Expansion: Successful entry into new sectors, industries, or geographical locations.
- Client Acquisition Rate: Number of new corporate and individual enrollees acquired.
